i found spring...it was hiding.

...my last post about the beach and how i need the sun on my body has left me wanting more.... but i left something out. i know i skipped spring but i didn't mean to... after all, spring is what helps us transition into summer. specially weather wise. i don't wanna just wake up one day to 150 degree heat and drop dead suddenly... spring eeeeeases us into the hot stuff. it gives our bodies time to warm up after the frosty chill of ice and snow. it also gives the ole cardiac muscle a chance to work itself up to tolerate the heat...

i don't wanna be another statistic you hear about in the news "NEBRASKA GIMPY ARMED UNEMPLOYED LESBIAN DROPS DEAD LIKE FRED AFTER LEAVING HER CHILLY ABODE AND STEPPING OUT INTO 150 DEGREE HEAT.... BECAUSE SHE SKIPPED SPRING" ..news at 10.

so for those of you wondering why i skipped spring, i didn't mean to and i am giving it to ya, baby... here it is! you'll know when spring has arrived because of pussywillows, my personal fave...

and love will be in the air...

flowers begin to bloom...

even animals know when to get the shades out!

...it's time to start planting your garden...

and go for lovely strolls with a friend....

it's also the start of tornado season-

and those violent thunderstorms...

when all that ceases, there will be great weather for biking...

and photography...

maybe an outdoor concert or two..

hell, tiger may even come out and start to tee off, again...

caricature-tiger-woods

outdoor sports will begin...

guinea-pig-sports-03 guinea-pig-sports-01

fresh fruit will begin to grow...

t'will be warm enough for picnics...

wino-picnic

the birds will be singing...

popebird

and Kate will be dancin with the stars...

kate-gosselin-b_11

you can take the kids out for ice cream...

and run into neighbors you haven't seen all winter!

retrosup

yes, spring is around the corner... new life will be born... both in nature and humans...

it'll be just right for gettin the ole grill out..

and kickin back a few brewskies or 5...

BUT-

with the good, comes the bad... like dodging those rude, careless, and thrill seeking skateboarders...

and gang members...

and neked peoples just lettin it ALL hang out- they have NO decency, shame, or morals...

the world would be a better place in the springtime without these low life's, wouldn't you agree?

but the best part of spring is all the green green grass..

so get out there once it arrives, and stop to smell the flowers...

and remember.....

SUMMER is NEXT !!!!

OH YEAH, BABY... BRING IT !!!!!

Spring is the time to stop and smell the roses. I have to say though, I don't care if I ever see Tiger Woodie again. But bring on the spring!

There's a tiny, little, greedy part of me that doesn't want you to go back to work ever, because then how would you have the time for these awesome posts? I don't even want to know how long you spent looking for all those perfect pictures!! You rock!!

And, in case I forgot to say it already, THANK YOU for putting up the St. Baldrick's link!!

Hey...you and I live in the same city and you get Spring and I don't? No fucking fair! The main problem that I have with life on this prairie is that Spring is so fleeting. I feel like we get one week of Spring in late April and then....BAM...we shoot right into Summer.

Good lord woman, how long must it take you to come up with such an awesome post full of "vishuals"! :-D

The wino picnic?

Yeah, I shouldn't have seen that a few minutes before dinner. *urp*

Spring is my favorite season... not too hot, not too full of bugs, not too full of weeds, the promise of many long warms months ahead... ah yes.

Bring it!!

uh, i looooooooooooooove spring! but bloooooooberry's ( i know its misspelled) come out in the fall, jus sayin'.....AND the wino picnic? i just ate when i saw that...picking thru the vomit "crumbs" thanks, my sissy, i owe ya for that one, too! we have had 65-70 degree weather here but not consistently. so, come on over and lounge around the beach, you will have to snuggle at night, it does get into the 40's still. but hey, we're working on it. lol

You are so funny. I am so happy you did not forget spring.
I won't soon forget the photo of the bunnies going at it doggie style. Nope. Never gonna get rid of that visual.
Hugs to you my springy friend. :)
