Hurricane Irene by elfish photography

(photo from hErE)

as I write this, my sister Joanne and her family are preparing for a visit from Irene. no, not our deceased auntie, the hurricane named after her. Jo's son and his family are all bundled up at her house. I pray nothing bad happens to them or theirs.

I am also thinking about busy bee Suz, and hope and pray her family stays safe as well. (keep the critters inside, Suz because you KNOW those goggies will be mine one day).

I survived my first real week of work, on my unit. I am SO glad to be off for 2 days. my head may explode before this is all over, there is just so much to learn, and the computer programs I need to learn are very complicated. in my first eval today, I was told I am doing great. but I don't feel like I am. after not working for nearly 2 years, I have to rebuild the confidence that shriveled up and died whilst I was healing.

I am taking one day at a time, and I know from experience that one of these days, everything will "click" into place and it will all make sense to me...

I have a dr. appointment early in the morning and I am sooooo tired from my grueling week! I'll ketchup with you folks a bit later. have a safe, great, weekend!

Yay! You survived the first week! It's gonna get easier from here, I swear.

I've been worrying about Jo all night. I hope they're ok, and escape unscathed.

The first week of a new job is so damned difficult, mentally-physically, in every way. But it is behind you now...and you know it will get easier.

Have a most wonderful weekend off!

1 week down and plenty more to go! 2 years of healing is a long time but hey...you'll look back and say it was all meant to be and you'll see how much stronger you are. Hope Irene leaves your loved alone, 'cos if not I'm coming there and sockin' her in the schnoze-a-roo! Cheers!

Think good thoughts about Jo. They will be fine.
THat Irene is so far away from us...our skies are sunny and blue. No worries for me.

Hey, hey, hey? You have a job? I've looked back down thru the last few posts and I can't see a reference to it. What'd I miss? I'm so pleased for you and hope all goes well. Sorry I;ve not been around or commenting much recently.
email me with details. Please?
