gramma

today we are going to a funeral. my oldest son's biological great grandmother whom they called gramma, passed away on Monday. she would have been 93 on good Friday. we were all in the room with her as she peacefully left this world and entered the next.

i feel SO blessed to have his bio family in our lives. they have welcomed and embraced us all from the moment we first met... and visa versa. you can never have too much love in your life, i always say.. we were lucky enough to have met gramma last year when she was still healthy. she was just the nicest, sweetest person you'd ever wanna meet. she had a soft spoken little girl's voice, loved everybody, and was the matriarch of the family, helping raise all her grandchildren at one point. here are a few pictures I'd like to share..

Sorry for your loss. 93 is a good long life. I like how you said it would be her first Easter with God. This was a great tribute post!
