alien invasion?

hi guys! my lil peeparoonies..... our road trip was wonderful. I've lived in Nebraska since 1981 and even with many trips across Iowa i never knew until this one that there were windmills galore about an hour before we reached Des Moines. they were so impressive that Diane and i were ooohhhhhing and aaahhhhhhing, if someone could have heard us they would think we were doing the deed.... but oh no, it was all for those beautiful windmills. they were gigantic. enormous. majestic.... much like a plane just taking off or landing. [i am in awe of such things]. we both kept saying it felt like we were in alien country. it was like we had driven to a foreign world and were surrounded by these huge aliens! bwahahahahaha well, ya had to be there, we had fun with it.

our friend was holding her own in the hospital and it was very nice to spend some time with her and our friends [her grown kids]. after we spent the afternoon at the hospital, we went out to dinner with our friends and HAD. A. GREAT. TIME. lotsa fun i must say. all in all we are both glad we went. the night before i stayed up late making some zucchini breads and packed some up to give to our friends but then forgot it in the car.... i hate when that happens.

the boys just left for school/work and the wife is still in bed so i am going to go back to bed too. did i ever tell you i hate mornings? i have NEVAH been a morning person, always hated gettin up for school growing up.... and could never be happy working a day job.
i come alive in the late hours of the night when its dark, misty, and foggy.... and the monsters roam the earth lookin for victims to scare... and the goblins come out to feast upon the young children's smelly socks and black cats who lurk do so in creepy crawly gestures..... where only the shadows know what really happens after dark, in the wee hours of the night.....

HeY.

wAiT.

it's not HallOwEEn yet.

so where did that come from?

WTF?

Hey C! I've been enjoying your bloggy comments and so appreciate the good words you are sending my way! I'm about to have a sit and take a look at what you've been up to - blogging and bloggy reading seem to have taken the back burner for me. :(

Hey, are you on Facebook? Its my newest obsession and I talk to a lot of my old bloggy buddies on there. Just curious! If so, find me, otay? Jill Lamonte Corkern is how to find. :)

Btw, I'm sure you changed this long ago but REALLY digging the new header and overall look here! So uplifting and FUN!

xo Jill
