Diane, Alex, and i just watched the movie "Mama Mia" and i have to say we were so impressed with how awesome it was. the music, the actors... the SCENERY was incredible. i am not one who typically enjoys musicals, although there may be one or two i have, but this movie was just awesome. the old aBBa songs brought back memories for me and the one Donna sings to her daughter [slipping through my fingers] made me cry like a baby because all i could think about was Emily, and how yes... time goes by too fast. you have your children whilst they are young. they need you, they listen to you, they love you despite yourself... and its a pure joy to be with them watching them grow. its easy then to have a wonderful time just talking, watching a movie, or going for a walk. but it goes by too fast. much too fast. the times in their youth when i felt overwhelmed and tired are the same times that today i long to relive. they were the best of times. yes, the best. it was in living each day to its fullest that holds the best memories. the times of no money that are the richest in retrospect... the places the kids and i walked to due to no working vehicle that were the funnest.... in essence, it was those times when i thought we had the least that i look back and see how rich i was. just me and my kids. just us. and i feel like if you don't get to experience that at some point then you have missed out on something very holy and pure. the old adage that less is more couldn't be truer. and i would give anything to go back in time and relive those days when the kids were little.... anything.

Sounds tiring to me! I love little ones but I'm so happy to have them older now.

I loved Mama Mia, too. Both the play and the movie. Especially the play.

I was never a big ABBA fan but when someone I was dating bought the tickets ahead of time, I didn't want to back out...to my surprise, I loved it.
I never did see the movie, but the Broadway play was wonderful.

that song made me cry too, I watched the movie last year in England with a bunch of my female relatives, including my daughter who now lives there. It's a lovely song. Glad you liked it too.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but absolutely LOVED the play!

Sounds like things might be getting a little better on your end. I surely hope so. I've been worried about you, and sending you prayers so that you might find a little peace in your heart.

I keep telling myself that these are the best of times. But it's really hard to appreciate when you're in the moment. ;)
