....in nature, beauty is simple. every living thing is what it is in the purest of forms. why then, are innocent children, who are also born in the purest of form, allowed to be damaged by words, acts, and beliefs of another? for the rest of their lives, they will never be the same. somehow, the damage will invade their loving souls and taint them, thereby preventing them from becoming what they were meant to be. who has the right to do that to another? god bless the abusers, for they will never know the damage their carelessness has caused. the damaged souls will spend the rest of their lives trying to repair, heal, and understand. there will be no peace, there will be no wholeness, the light will not shine as bright....

however, every now and again, a soul will find a way to walk through the darkness, and shine even brighter than it would have, because of it.
